I had an old toddler bed sheet and I knew I wanted to do something with it so I finally decided to make a flag banner for Love's room.
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9sYWX9brk46DMwqQLiPCBVQRk__h_nlEdzXqY0vY3lwetfryZn1-CC17WRtpDvUME3WfVCPNmVsWqE6_ZzG9CK3norCRa8Lo9NzjkIKFsL922Ke8J2XS4zYPP6JYMR6vIM9Bnt19kdwk/s400/DSC_0013.JPG)
I printed the flag template found
here but I wanted my flags to be bigger.
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_H1gxFFrYzrXxNVNfakCOQo5a7SEnERK7gv_JpOintHqSnJqD7RfWYdz9DlG1lLLeq3SVVMoTQCEWdNS7w5ius9RddrQFIuqhaIwpK5ZXFwqM58_buZx3ILInFjr4tAyHCMLx4ljkpQc/s400/DSC_0016.JPG)
So I flipped over my paper and drew my own. I then cut out the flag template.
Then place your template on your material where you want to cut and lightly trace with a pencil around the flag.

Here you can lightly see the pencil marks. I then cut them out with regular scissors and then went around the edges with pinking shears.

Pick a ribbon for the top and pin the flags to it.

Sew from one end all the way to the other. I left some extra ribbon hanging out on each side to hang it on the wall.

Iron the material if you haven't all ready.

Then hang it up!
Thanks for looking!

Aww how sweet. We just made my 3 yr old son's room into a "Cars" room. I did a banner with some Cars material too. And just made some artwork. Nice job. This is really cute because you can really see each character. I bet he loves it.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHow creative! It turned out so perfectly, too. It's like the sheet was designed to be made into a banner one day!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
